Hey everyone, you've heard me talking about Mushroom Kingdom Emissary before, I'm sure. As the name implies, this game is about the Mushroom Kingdom, and Subspace(Subspace Emissary). It also involves a treaty being "broken", war, and Mario attacking Toads and Koopas. You can always be sure to have the latest version by downloading from here: http://www.mkemissary.info/
Updates will also be posted there, and we have an entire forum for discussing the game. Gotta use that bandwidth I'm paying for for SOMETHING, right?

Download Link: http://willhostforfood.com/access.php?fileid=88965
THIS GAME WAS BUILT FOR WINDOWS, BUT WAS DESIGNED TO SUPPORT LINUX THROUGH WINE.

Video Demo(2 Builds ago): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pbPjbH9s1YM

I cannot read the text on that site. The color choice is awful.

Out of curiosity, but why is it V0.0.0.0010

The version system works like this:
First number is the completion. If it is the full version of the game, it's a 1. Otherwise, it's a 0.
Second number is completed worlds. Every time a world is completed, it goes up by one. When the game is completed, it is reset.
Third number is completed levels. Every time a level is completed, it goes up by one. When a world is finished, it is reset.
Fourth number is build. Every time a new build is released, it goes up by one. When a level is finished, it is reset.

The entire development team was questioned about this, and a few friends were questioned, and they all agreed that the color choice contrasts nicely with the background.

Well, now you have 2 people disagreeing with you. The colours do not work well together. Heck, look it up on a colour chart if you want SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE!!!111

I would seriously fix the colours, if not the entire design of the site. It looks like some of the more untidy Geocities sites did; I'd do something about it, otherwise it might as well go the same way as they did.

Yeah, the site needs some work, but right now Onilink's main focus has been the engine. Site design can wait; it would be nice to get some critique on the engine instead.

Let's see, 2 people disagreeing vs 6 or 7 agreeing...
I'll go with the 6 or 7 agreeing.
My main focus is the engine, as Razz said. The web site needs work, but the engine is most important.

...You can't just reject criticism like that.
If the only people who tend to like your colour schemes are your development team, and the people who dislike it are the consumers themselves, then you wouldn't be able to learn how to work with criticism. Your development team will crash and burn if you keep doing this.

Also, I too, find the colour scheme to be terrible.

I did say that the website needs work, did I not? I was saying that the majority of people who have given feedback like the color scheme, so why change what the majority likes? I did also ask multiple friends of mine who are not in the dev team, and they all liked the color scheme. The web site does need work, but for now, the majority likes the website, and I need to work on the engine, so why waste time on the website when the game itself is more important?

I wasn't talking about the "majorities". I'm talking about the way you just throw away suggestions and criticism like a piece of rubbish.

Again, you ignore that I said that the website DOES NEED WORK, implying that I WILL FIX IT, and instead go for arguing that I'm not going to fix it, and I'm just "throwing away" your criticism. I am taking your criticism in, I'm just not going to fix it right now because the engine is higher priority.

Once again, you ignore the fact that I stopped talking about your website, because I was talking about you handling criticism. Next time, when you confront feedback, at least take it into consideration, instead of comparing it with others.

And, as I said, I was taking your criticism into cosideration(which, by the way, has nothing to do with the game itself, which is what this thread is for), I'm just not going to fix it right now because as I have said multiple times, the Engine is more important than the website.

Completely honest question: if you're a GNU/Linux user, why are you not building a GNU/Linux version as well?

A few problems with compiling SFML for Linux(and a few glitches in Linux SFML that I'm not sure have been fixed or not). Don't worry, a working build will be up soon.

I don't really like the color choice of the website, either. I'm at school right now, though, so I can't comment on the game itself. D:
