I just got a phone yesterday, and I don't know how to change the name. On the menu, it just says "dormant".

help?

and i checked the settings, it's not there

Oh, that "dormant" might just be a Greeting.
Try looking in connections and the light. A phone's names is pretty much useless unless you Bluetooth-ing it, so maybe it'll be in there; I know mine is, I have a KRZR k1m.

yea it is, but it changed back now, but when i called someone, it said a different name

I'd contact Virgin Mobile about it if it is really an issue.
Did it say anything about it in the manual?

Should be in the settings that say "banner".

Unless I totally misread this and that's the name that comes up when you call someone (ie: caller ID name). Cellphones really don't have caller ID names... they show up as numbers or will show up as whatever your contact's name has you down as in their address book.
