it's the wise choice with any gaming console. just wait for the next generation and play all the best last gen games and get the greatest version of the console at bargain bin prices

well except for the ps3 which gets worse and worse with each new model

wait a minute, I think I was already doing that.

the point is that it's dumb to trust a new console release from a company like Nintendo if they just go and release a "bigger and better" version shortly thereafter, and then one after that, and then one after that. for everyone who sprung for the earlier versions that end up getting less support than the "latest and greatest" they crank out, they'd have been better off not buying anything until the console was done being beaten to death.

Exactly, it's just the DSi with a bigger screen. Nothing amazing, no better hardware, no new features(unless you consider color to be a feature)
