So by online is it like... you can see people in cities? Or everywhere? Or can you just group up with a certain number of people?

Far as I can tell it follows classic PSO style.

Basically, 4 people in one group. I don't know if it has the lobby system that the original PSO had, though, where you could join lobbies on a server and see and talk with anyone online and not in-game, though.

I never tried the japanese version online. :/
