Eh, chances are that it's not going to be 'love' if you date somebody at your age, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't!

Social experiences are social experiences, if you learn more about relationships and wimminz then it's a win!

Can't speak for everyone, but here's my reasons:
Companionship
kisses
hugs
free back massages
someone to take care of
someone to appreciate
someone who appreciates me
someone who can comfort/be comforted by me
someone to talk to about things
the feeling that i will never, ever be alone


also greater chance of success in mating (success meaning conception, birth, and raising of a child) so it's also evolutionary

Hey, you just summed up my entire philosophical opinion about love in under 15 characters.

Definitely the best thread I've ever started.

I think true love entails a high degree of self-sacrifice and unwavering commitment, which differentiates it from mere infatuation or lust.

I agree that having a girlfriend sounds really neat, but some of the stories I've heard would've made me doubt the existence of real love, if it hadn't been for an old couple I knew who truly loved each other.

Really...? Really?

Either you haven't made many threads in your lifetime.

Or have a very, very bizarre, contradictory idea of what "good" is.

infatuation is one-sided
love is between two people

By the way, "Romantic love" is pretty much infatuation.

Nah, your post about "romantic love = infatuation" did that to me more so. I can only guess therefore that there is some "other level of love" or something, and it is a total guess.
