How did you find MFGG, I mean like who from/where/when

Well, it started well over a year ago, maybe over two, and i would be chatting with klobber and he would randomly complain about something going on in this board. one day after this board became hosted by penguinia, i saw a topic to reply to and regged an account. time would pass and he would randomly post some mishap going on and whatnot. Around june of this year i finally started posting to..... find out i was already well-known here. that was scary! XD but at the same time i saw quite a few familiar faces, and joey and i became friends again!

w00t. I like happy endings.

PK's "talking" about it on the K-board is how I found it. You guys seemed OK, so I decided to join.

Been making games/fangames since 8th grade, five years ago.

Don't recall exactly when, but I found MFGG and hit the site up regularly for games, libs, etc. Then it mysteriously got shut down. I never saw MFGG again.

Then recently (it had been long since MFGG came back up), more like three months ago, I posted stuff for MLSS2 on my DeviantArt account and Moses (Jetgit) and Rage saw my work. This is what then brought me back to the main site.

Moses showed me Jeff's SME2 game. Great stuff, by the way.

I showed Moses (and I think Rage) a copy of MLSS2. They liked it. Moses said I should submit it to MFGG.

Three months, two flamewars, one warning, and several copies of RyuFox Fighters later, here I am today on MFGG. If it were not for those events I wouldn't be here talking to you right now.

When I was still a well known game maker, I found a link on a community website which brought me here. It was at the time when TD vanished because he was obsessed playing Super Mario Sunshine. I downloaded stuff here and there (I've still got some of the better old libs) and someday decided that I'd contribute to the site, being a Mario fan since forever and all. I think I went to the forums shortly after that. Or shortly before that? About that time anyway.

Yeah, that's it. Exciting, isn't it?

Hell if I really remember exactly.

I know that I came across this place... somehow. And started submitting things. A few backgrounds, better shaded objects, etc etc. And a movie or two. "Mario's Super Do's and Don'ts list on things that are okay to do, and things that are not okay to do, to be smart and safe movie".

After that I really didn't do much. APPARENTLY I was at the forums a little bit ago, but it must have been very brief, because I didn't remember that AT ALL. My home was basically SFGHQ. At SFGHQ there was talks about their Cheese & Moon Pies board they used to have. Which was basically their version of the PPP. They got rid of it a long time ago, when they got a stick shoved up their asses, and I remembered, vaugly, that MFGG had a forum like the CAMP. So basically, I joined MFGG to post in the PPP. The first post WAS in the PPP. No welcome topic or nothing. Just started posting. And... lots of poeple know who I was.

I was like O.O

Whether it be from my sprits/background I submitted. Or the movie I made. Or the Cheese Mountain Zone background I made at SFGHQ. Hell, SOME even remembered my from my apparent (breif) venture into the forums a while ago.

So, I didn't have any trouble fitting in, in this place. I've met some great peoples (Jeff, Joey, Shadowman, Cammi, Draco,SP), met... others (Kritter, PK) and met some REALLY awesome people that I can relate to so much (Klobber).

Since then... This place has always felt like a family, in a sense. Granted the lot of us fight with each other. There are some retarded members. Members who hate the rest of the family. Members who get a long with them all. Members who take the family too seriously. Members who abandon the family after the house changes. Members who are black... We ALL have some sort of insane difference about us, and we always seem to fight or argue about something. (just like a real family). But when we REALLY need to be united, we are. Say, for instance, Nightwing. No matter how much we all fight, the entire board always unites against people like him, that try to destroy the family.

So in short. I love MFGG. Best message board ever.
It just needs porn and a taco bell.

When I was making games with Gamemaker I was looking for 3D sprites that someone ripped from a n64 game. Of course I knew what Models were, so I went to google and searched up some sprites, then I came across MFGG, I clicked on it.
and heres what poped up, "Bandwidth Exceeded" I was like "Dammit" I went back to google, and found another link to MFGG but this one was to the forum.
So I thought, I should register to this forum (this is my first forum I've joined) since it was like a mario forum, and I'm a big fan of mario.

but I get treated like **** and people just ignore just about everything I say.

I was a sonic fanboy until my internet access denied access to SFGHQ so i gave la plumber a chance and searched for a mario fan site and i found this.

That would be exactly what I am talking about.

He gave me the link, I followed it, pretty simple. I think I was going to see his sprite competition entries, and it all just happened to coincide with the devlopment of the first Pocket Mario. I wanted to show off the engine a bit, and got involved.

How did you become an admin?

He started hosting the board (he owns Penguinia.net).

As for me being an admin, bribery back when the site was done with HTML instead of PHP, I took an update test and got the highest marks. So I became an admin.

Incorrect sir. I was made an admin to maintain the technical aspects of the board, before I hosted it.

Hehehe. Me too. I didn't know how to make it so that mario would stant on the floor. So gave birth to LOTGH. DOESN'T EVERYONE LUB THAT GAME? I can't say that I do. But it is the reason I came to the forums.

Finding the site was by accident. I did all my animation stuff in, er... microsoft powerpoint. I was looking for what I just learned were called 'sprites' of mario and such (I dun learned that on newgrounds!) to use in my powerpoints, and instead found MFGG, and through it the games factory.

Funny, I woundn't even be a spriter now probably if I hadn't had to get TGF to look at the sprites on MFGG. Good think I didn't find The Spriter's Recource instead.
