two things:

1) I HATE pushing the up button to jump. Couldn't it be shift instead?
2) Needs music.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to get back to playing this game for a few hours.

EDIT: Oh and the high score table lets you type stuff but... doesn't do anything else.

Anyway, the theme song music is friggen awesome, but the level music... sucks.
It's too slow for this game, IMO.
Also, I say, just get rid of the coin/buzzybeete/mario on the title screen. The picture is awesome as it is.

His vertical speed does not seem to change at all while jumping. Thus the gravity is weird. You might want to change that.

Not bad, but you know what would have been nice? It would have been nice if you had the parabeetles drift down a bit then fly up when mario was standing on them. It would feel more para beetlish this way. Oh, and I like the title screen art! ^^
