See, how there is like, a reflective glow from a lightsource, on specific parts of the characters? HOW do I do that in photoshop? PLZ HELP OMGLAKSJDFLJK

If you mean stuff like on Jessica's hair, either make a new layer, use the white paintbrush and turn down the opacity a bit, and just draw it yourself, OR

Use the dodge tool, which is lazier but can work well enough sometimes. If you don't see the dodge tool, find the burn tool and click and hold down the mouse button until you're able to select the dodge tool.

ok, this looks like crap but will hopefully get the point across.

What I did was make a new layer for her red hair, then on that same layer, used the dodge tool over and over in the same spot, as you keep doing that it will get steadily brighter. I probably should have done it a bit more.

You sir need to obtain a copy of Corel Painter, though it's really more suited for tablets. Mucho coloring options, many more than Photoshop's.

This doesn't really help, but it's too crappy for the art board and uses highlights to a degree (even though the white on her hair was completely unecessary) so i'm posting it anyway
