I've been curious aboutthe high scores package I submitted a while ago. Has anyone tried using it, or have their been issues with trying to use it?

I see that 2 tables were created, but neither appear to have been used, so I'm wondering if it's just not working or something.

I fully intend on using it sometime or other. Like most of the tutorials you make, most can be applied to my project, so i'm certain I could use a high score system in a couple of places in my game. I haven't tried it yet, but i'll let you know when I get around to it.

I toyed around with the default one to see how it worked, submitted a score or two to even I think. I am also planning on making my own little game soon so now that I remembered this I may make the highscore online! Hey, is it possible to submit larger amounts of data, such as a level data file or a recording, should the game be able to record it?

Using the default service, you can submit one additional piece of 'auxilary' data - a string of 50 or so characters or less. You also have to event that on your own, but it's allready programmed into the server portion.

I was going to use it for Parabeetle Hop but I think your tutorial is MMF-only (which, at this point, I lack a copy of).

I would have made a TGF version but moosock has to be bought for TGF =(

What RII said, although, i do plan to modify the driver to allow more data, which (RII allowing of course) could act as a higher capacity alternative for games that require it

If you're going to use the driver in your own space, you're free to modify it any way you like so long as the copyright stays intact.

The driver's not terribly hard to modify, eventing for extra data would be the hard part.

This is amusing, and what I was afraid of.

Seems the couple people who did create high score tables never reflected the changes in the events, and are trying to run off the test table. Please read the insturctions carefully, and read through the relevent (blood red) click event comments. There is some minimal effort you must expend to at least send and receive your own scores.
