Here's some of the ideas we came up with in that AIM convo:
-Waluigi should have bomb's or something
-Know what I always thought would be a cool idea? Kind of like, you start out as one character, and it's like Metroid how your access to areas is limited by who you play as, but eventually Luigi will join and if there's an area you can't reach, you switch to him and you can, then you get Wario who can ram through walls and such, and Waluigi could do something else when you get him, so you basically switch between all characters etc etc etc
-Well, you could just press a button and have one disappear and the other appear, or you could have "switching pipes" where if you go down, a little menu comes up giving you the option to choose who you want to play as

There are basic archtypes to every game. They are prominant in Megaman, Sonic, Mario, and most RPGs. The levels/temples/stages/whatever are always.
1. Forest (ex. Sonic's first stage in every game, Rose Woods in Mario RPG, Wood Man) 2. Under water (M&L, Mario RPG, Bubble Man in MM2, Hydro City in Sonic 3) 3. Fire or Volcano (Lava Reef, Heat/Fire/Flame Man, Barrel Volcano) 4. Mechanical (Death Egg/Metropolis, Smithy's Factory) 5. Sky (Air Man, Flying Battery, Nimbus Land, World 5 in Mario 3) 6. Underground (Mystic Cave in Sonic 2, Moleville Mines) 7. Desert/Pyramid (Mario 3, Paper Mario, Earthbound, Sandopolis in Sonic 3, Pharoah Man) 8. Space (Mario Land 2, Sonic 3 and Knuckles)
