I made it an original game because I wanted it to be something I can call my own.

And the "hold to rise jump thing" as you call it puts you in control of the jump. I've been doing it in my engines for a long time now and am not about to stop now. :P

The jumping is just way to damn slow. If you're going to make him go through an entire level, it's going to take a really long time to play through it.

Also, the mushroom barely propels you any higher than your normal jump, at least not enough to be helpful.

Yes it does. You have to keep bouncing off it to bounce higher.

Good Lord SP this is the slowest fangame I've ever played. :O

It's fine and dandy to make Pintar light. But doesn't that mean when he hits that mushroom he'll go up a bit faster? That mushroom is slow as hell. In order to bounce high enough off it to clear a standard wall you have to bounce on it for twenty seconds. Ten if you meteor dash.

1. Was an exaggeration

2. That's still quite a bit too long. It FEELS even longer because Pintar moves at a steady linear speed. I am certain I just used linear wrong.

This is not meant to be a speedy game like Sonic.

But anyway, I sort of made it faster a while ago and fixed the "triangle" jumping. Hanyou said he liked it much better.

So yeah.

SP, you're seeing this in black and white. Games are not in two settings. There is not just SONIC FAST111 and TETRIS LEVEL 1 SLOW1111 and I have no idea where you're getting such an idea.

Let's assume there are ten levels of speed in video gaming. Sonic is at ten. Yours is at one - two. Make yours two - four.

Firstly, you had not made this clear earlier.

Secondly, how am I to judge what I cannot see? Upload the new bloody engine so I can tell you if it's still unbearably slow. Privately zooming things across AIM without notice leads to misunderstandings like these.
