Drawing Comp: MARIO BROS.: THE MOVIE poster, ..only not crappy

Congratulations to Avi for getting second place.

For this art competition, I want YOU, the viewer, to create a poster. Doesn't have to be full size, but it has to look like a poster. You're creating a poster for a new, more amazing MARIO BROS. movie. One that doesn't suck.

Draw the characters, draw what's going on, make it dramatic, make it look COOL, make everyone WANT TO SEE THIS MOVIE, and most importantly, make it look like a POSTER. Not just a picture. You pick the actors.

You can draw the characters as they are and have a list of actors you think would be able to play them well, or you can pick actors, draw the actors to the best of your ability, and draw them as Mario characters. Either one. NOT your characters. REAL actors, or the characters as they look like normally.

Doesn't have to look realistic like the poster linked below.

Also, for it to actually look like a poster, either have a title of the "movie" (you choose the name) and/or a list of actors/director.

Er wait. You mean, I can't make it look like an animated movie poster, and list voice actors on the bottom? Or does it have to have the realistic look like in that poster?

Doesn't have to look realistic, unless you want it to. But it still has to look like a poster.

I thought I did. Notice, I posted this, what, 30 minutes ago? In that 30 minutes, I've added things to the post. You couldn't have actually planned something out that you think would have worked perfectly in 30 minutes, especially since you have two weeks to do this.

Here's a demo. I think it'll be black and purple, pretty straightforward. That, or black and pink. I'm not sure yet... gotta figure out how to pop-artistly color fawful.

Woah, that's awesome Doc, the shadowy thing and the Fawfull in the BG and all that. The black and purple/pink thing is making me unable to wait for the coloured version. This contest will rock!

Here's the scanned colored version. I have a black mask I might use over the black in this one so it isn't all bumpity.

I'll add credits etc. too.
