Make sure the blocks (if they are backdrops) are set to obstacles. In the event editor:

"Mario collides with the background" --> Stop

Or, you know, you could, look in the help file first before asking stuff.

He IS right. The help files are crap.

So, that's how you do it. Remember, do it in Step-Through mode first to set all the coding, or you can go into the Event mode and set it up from there.

Well, if the help files are crap, explore TGF. It's one of those programs where you can figure things out on your own. Helping, yes, but beginning stuff, you kind of explore and figure out.

Ugh, I hate the step-through mode. What I usually do is work in the event editor, and then run the level. Lots of other people do that too, as I've seen.

I hate the step through mode too. But I find that it is almost necessary to do that first because Step-Through can let you code many things very quickly. Whenever I have a few missing spots. or things step-through couldn't do, I usually(always) go over it at the end in Event-Editor.

Also, you might want to download the Games Factory Lectures, they're a lot more helpful and informative than the help files that come with TGF.

Once there was a shyguy who
came back to MFGG for one day to post,
then he went back to dreaming about ramen.

To Be Continued...?
