There are going to be two or three SMB NES 8Bit levels in my SMW hack. To give you an insight on how they'd look in the game, here are some screenshots.

Yes, you do find Yoshi in this level. And the reason for the colour change and sparklies is because Mario's invincible.

The breakable bricks are a little too bright (from world 1-1). And the fireflower looks a little weird too. Hack looks great

Fixing colours and stuff because I was in a rush before. Also made the Buzzy Beetle 8bit, which you won't be able to see for a bit until I'm done with everything.

I thought up and wrote down what to expect from the hack in the future as it develops.

Major plans for SMW Hack:
Refacing all bosses at the ends of every stage in the Special World.

Yoshi's House will no longer be Yoshi's House, or only one screen big.

An appearance of Peach's Castle.

Codes throughout the game that give access to rewards on the web, such as patches for changes in graphics or simple rewards like art or working concepts of the game (behind-the-scenes).

The "shortcut" for Bowser's Castle in The Valley Of Bowser (a level accessable through a secret exit->fortress->"Back Door") will no longer be a shortcut, but an alternate version of Bowser's Castle.

Other game cameos, not only from other NES, SNES or Gameboy Mario games, but also from Metroid.

Yoshi will be very rare to find, mostly because most levels are not Yoshi Friendly. He will not be a major part of the game.

Some walls will be smashable, making secrets a lot harder to find.

More simple rewards in the game, such as coin caches or 1-up rooms in harder places to find.

More appearances from enemies that didn't make many appearances at all. Think: Ninji

DOOMSHIPS. 'Nuff said.

The alternate bowser's castle should, like, lead you to the docking port of his clown copter... and I doubt you could make an alternate boss battle but if you could it's be awesome to fight bowser "inside" this docking port... so basically you'd be inside rather than on top of the castle and there would be obstacles and enemies and stuff.

I wish I could. But that's not possible, yet. Mostly because I don't know "AMS" code to even edit boss battles, and nobody has ever figured out the link between Bowser and the lightning in the battle arena. Meaning, if I were to have a battle with Bowser inside instead of outside, there'd still be some sort of "lightning" flash, and the graphics would probably glitch up. I'm staying away from all boss battle editting because it's way too risky to mess with.

My eyes are projectile-bleeding from all the red and staring back and forth from model (in MS paint) to almost-finished product (in Tile Layer Pro). The new lava is now finished, and so are the graphics for Bowser's Castle. Huzzah. Screenshots tomorrow.

Notice: the lava was added pixel by pixel.
