Hey peoples. I, too, am working on a Yoshi game. The game will contain ML:SS sprites/backgrounds, and maybe some stuff from other mario games, if I could find some that will match with the scenery. I might post the engine of the game later. All i need is just a storyline, and a title that matches.

So if you have ne suggestions for a story/title, please post them. If they are chosen for the game, you will be added to the credits of the game. Tenks. biggrin.gif

The day begins in the Mushroom Castle, as Mario visits Princess Peach. But suddenly out of nowhere, Yoshi's evil twin Boshi, captures Mario and kidnaps him. Peach is in shock, and is in a call for help. [the rest it almost the same as the first storyline] So Peach calls Luigi. Luigi feels that Mario is always the person that saves the day, so he refuses to rescue him. He also says that he's on vacation anyway. The princess decided to call the green dinosaur, Yoshi. Yoshi accepts, and decides to rescue Mario. please read the title information for more info.

The title of this game will be:
Yoshi: The Donut Adventures

The reason for this title, was originally for the first storyline, where Mario runs out of doughnuts and faints. But now that the storyline has changed, the title will remain the same. The reason for this, is because Yoshi must go through the Donut Plains, in order to get to Boshi. (In SMW, Donut Plains is the place right after Yoshi's Island, Yoshi's home, obviously.) Also, I might add another feature to the levels. To make the title have some meaning, I might add 5 Donuts in each level. It's sorta like the flowers in SMW2 (YI). Maybe if you get all 5, you'll get a bonus.. Like a mini-game or something. I'll think about it.

1] Yoshi gets stuck sometimes in platforms
2] Yoshi sometimes doesn't bounce when he jumps on an eneny

*Controls:
Move - L/R Arrow Keys
Jump - Shift
Lick/Tongue - Ctrl
Pound-the-Ground - Jump+Down
Spacebar - Aim Egg
Ctrl [while aiming egg] - Throw Egg
Hovering - Hold Shift while in 'Falling' animation

Yoshi is ripped by rugoltgot.
Extra animations by Badassbill.
Shyguy by FanGuy.

If you see any bugs, or have any other suggestions, post em.

For the engine, I used MMF's platform movement, but I was able to remove the "keep jumping when you hold Shift" bug. So, is there a possible way to create Yoshi's flutter using path movement? or is there another way?

yeah you could use path movement for the flitter jump. just set Yoshi's Y position to the object with the path movement.

i kno that already, i meant like..

is it possible to make the path movement look exactly like yoshi's flutter?

yes it is possible to make the path movement look like the flitter jump, I did it. Except I made it move a lot faster for specific reasons.

yea, but they use static engines.. i use platform engine..

unless there's one that uses a platform engine nd i didnt see it..
