Looks a LOT nicer if you go into the application runtime options and check "Use DirectX" and "Use VRAM"

The screen looks like it's squeezed in horizontally, if you know what i'm saying.

Kinda like.. a widescreen movie, played on a TV that's not wide screen..

Change your app window size. Use something around 320x240 (don't go any smaller than 320x200 or the VRAM will switch itself off). Your window is wider than it is tall, so it's having to squeeze it to fit, so just make the window a little taller.

i dont think i could make it 320x240. I would have to resize the backgrounds.. which will make it not seen completely, cause i'm only resizing the height. Is there any other way I could full screen it without making the screen look weird?

You won't have to rezise the backgrounds, you'll just see more at a time.

Is is it possible, for the window to have a 320x200 screen, not maximized? and have it widescreen maximized? I'm thinking not, but it wud be reeli nice if you could. hehe.

With 320x200 it will appear slightly squashed full screen as you said but it shouldn't be too bad. I'd prefer a game which squashes when full screen to one which doesn't go full screen at all. I hate windowed gaming.

The only solution to the stretching is to change the window size, as I said. 40 extre pixels height wouldn't really cause any problem, you wouldn't need to stretch your backgrounds in the actual game, and if your title screens and such are a little small you could just give them a black border at the top and bottom.

I had the DirectX and VRam enabled in the first place.

I might try the border thing at the top and bottom. If all doesn't go well, I'll just stick with the kinda-weird looking full screen. No big deal. Thanks for the help. ph34r.gif

I didn't think Boshi was 'evil' or even a twin, but what the hey. LoL. If someone's gonna use Boshi in a game I can only encourage them, because Boshi rocks!

You might want this (see attachment). If you use it be sure to give the creator credit.

Thats the only thing I didn't like about the story. Boshi's been my favorite yoshi since the day I found him on Super Mario World(I named him before SMRPG came out), but oh well, atleast thats one cool sprite. Maybe he could get wings in the game too wink.gif

We'll see what happens as I create the game. Right now, I'm almost done with the opening cutscene. Maybe, I could change the story a bit, to make it sound like Boshi TURNS.. from bad to good.
