Im making a mario game, its gonna suk though...

and its not even side scrolling........................
aw well, i'll TRY to make it side scrolling
but u have to do it in advanced mode, and i dont get how to do it
aw well, im gonna spend my three hour turn on the comp here and making my game.........
anyone have a good name for it?

I've always liked it when a game has the word "Universe" in it. How about Super Mario Universe?

Well, you could give credit for ideas, but it's not exactly standard practice .. If I'm making a game and get a good idea from someone, I might put their name under a Special Thanks. But as a general rule you shouldn't expect anything from ideas.

Eh...avoid using the hideously overused Mario tracks from SMB and SMW.

Try using remixes of Mario songs. But don't use overdone remixes.
Another thing I try to do with the music in my games is use music that NO ONE is most likely going to use in a game. Good place for a lot of these kinds of songs is VGMusic.com.

And while it's kinda not necessarily the best practice in the world, some of the songs from Megaman games can double for some of the best Mario tracks ever. I know Hard Man's theme (MM3), Crash Man's theme (MM2), Gyro Man's theme (MM5), and Crystal Man's theme (MM5) make for some of the best songs to replace Mario songs.

If you find a good version of lvl1 from Castlevania, use it. It fits in well with some of the weirder levels, like in space, and other stuff.

Hard Man's Theme is awesome.
