If you are going to accuse someone of stealing, you will do it by proving it with links (and no, not a link to the topic your quote was in) and screen captures. Quotes from other forums do not prove anything.

MSP also couldn't have drawn this picture of the Green Biker Dude because he just posted it today (the 28th), yet Nightmare X over at PMM has apparently been spamming up the forum with the same image yesterday (the 27th).

Forums use GMT time when you're logged out, so I used that as a base. An instance of the "I approve this message" and the avatar and the whole shebang was posted BEFORE Metool posted it. Obviously, it isn't his own work. Case closed, pending warning.

How the hell do you prove that artwork is stolen by the time that it was posted on a forum or simply by taking someone's word for it (people who don't even know who the real artist no less)? It's completely and utterly ridiculous.

Just because somebody was spamming a forum with it or used it as an avatar does not mean they drew it. And just because somebody featured it in a flash movie does not mean they drew it either (SMW sprites, for example, in Mario Reloaded). So this whole thing is without legitamit evidence. Metool should definately not be warned for something that you cannot prove, ShadowMan. If you think somebody else drew it then would you care to explain why you haven't contacted anybody else to ask them about it instead of going on what you read at another forum where the supposed proof that it isn't his is...

If this is so obviously stolen, how is it that nobody knows who the original artist is for sure? Maybe you should look into that before you even think about warning the guy. Just a thought.

Well THAT is something you should go on. You shouldn't really just take someone's word for it who isn't even sure who the original artist is.

Although he could have replicated the style, but if he did, is exceptionally good at that artist's style.

Do you perhaps have a link to where this artist uploads his work (if he does)?

I'm trying to remember who draws eyes like that...I want to say it's Bara-chan (can't link to her DA gallery since it has some stuff that would violate the rules here), but I'm not sure. I do remember one night Cammi was showing me a picture with eyes drawn in that exact same style and talked about how she liked the way that artist drew eyes, so I know I've seen the style before. With the darker circle in the middle of the iris.
