You need to add those highlights and thicken the outlines(not the ones inside the character. I'm also referring to your Goombella you made recently). Once you do those you've basically got the style.

Anyway, this drawing is fan-****ing-tastic, although I think some of the lines could be a bit smoother. What do you use anyway?

The characters are hand drawn, inked and scanned, then colored in Paint Shop Pro. The background was done completely in Opencanvas (which is why it looks so sloppy compared to the rest of it), and the menu stuff I did in PSP.

I don't have a pen, so I use Illustrator to make lineart, and it comes out REALLY smooth(although it's pretty annoying since I only use a mouse)
