It looks like it could fit somewhere in the Palace of Shadow if it was used, but that's just my thoughts.

Could you tell me its file's name? Perhaps when I try to get some of these unused things into the actual game, I may find something on this guy =O

I was talking with Lightning and also another friend of mine, and I've come to the conclusion that the unused monster is meant to look like/parody the Love Tester! If I remember right, it was one of the toys made by Gunpei Yokoi back in the past, along with things such as the Ultra Hand. I am not one hundred percent sure how it worked, but I think it required two people holding it to press the buttons on each side at the same time, to see the love between them or somesuch. It wasn't scientifically correct but is anything? Further proof is that Gunpei Yokoi, if I remember right, was involved with Intelegence Systems before, not sure exactly how but I am sure he had some involvement with them, working on games such as the Fire Emblem series. It would make sense for them to give a nod to one of his old inventions. Another thing that might just be coincidence, but the name of the monster's image file was "oko_ru". Gunpei Y<b>oko</b>i. That might be a connection, or it might just be overanalizing. We'd have to get someone who knows japanese to see I guess, I dunno. Another possible refrence to something of his was in the pipe leading into the BG effect seen in some areas, that's a feature seen in the Virtual Boy Wario Land if I remember right. Or were pipes used to do it in the canned Mario Land VB game... either way it's a possible refrence. Then again the refrence to the GBA Fire Emblem game could be a refrence for all we know.

Say, is there any way that it could be connected to the Pikmin parodying area? The Love Tester is also featured in Pikmin 2 as a very usefull treasure finder, so it's possible it was planned to be put there for some use.

He reminds me of the Golem enemies from Kirby And The Amazing Mirror... (And also, Wizzerd reminds me of Mega Titan's head form) Oh, and he also reminds me of Bristle.

Anyway, I've finished ripping, masking, converting, etc.. Took all day, stupid Photoshop.
Once it's finished uploading, you can all have it.

There it is, the complete set of textures from Paper Mario 2, in .PNG format with proper alpha. Names from the game disc itself retained, all that fun stuff. Hell, I even ripped the banner. If anyone can think of anything I've missed, let me know.. Besides the Memory Card image, of course. But that's here:

Ask Lightning, I don't know the whereabouts of the audience data at the moment.

That was part of what I ripped before, from the Japanese version =)
For those who missed it (I did just edit my post, but people might not read it again), here is the complete set of textures from the game, most in .PNG (I left the banner in .BMP to separate it).
Anyway, I'll get the audience in a second =P
