Required doesn't mean an instant negative.
"Do not give credit" would make more sense.

I still think it's kinda wrong. It's like me taking some sprites that one person made, rearranging them and submitting to a site. Perhaps the person wouldn't want his sprites to be on another site?

Tho then again this is MFGG message board and MFGG main site we're speaking of. But I wouldn't do that without RII's approval.

If anything, I'd credit RII before myself. There's no real "skills" needed to assemble sprites, but everyone seems to be complaining about the seperate parts.

If they don't know how to copy and paste a few images in MsPaint I doubt they are qualified to make a proper game.

Wow, I sound like a jerk today.

this is one of the major reasons why i'm against giving credit for ripped sprites

chances are there's 5 people who ripped the same damn thing, 4 of which you don't know about

but of course i have to give credit or otherwise... yeah..

Wow, yeah. It must take a lot of skill to figure out how to copy and paste a few pieces together to make a goomba. :/ Seriously, who can't do that?

Yeah, I know. It doesn't take crap to put the parts together. I'm just assembling the sprites, so don't say what I'm doing is "wrong".

When did I say that simply assembling sprites is wrong? I previously stated that it seemed wrong to assemble sprites AND upload them to another site.

What I meant to imply was that you said. "A small example of what I can do." As if it was something special wich was worth mentioning when all it takes it a minute of copy and paste in MsPaint.

I'm thinking of assembing a few too -- but which application would be recommended? I now have a future fangame idea which would involve a few of those sprites, and I'm trying to carefully choose if the assembly process can be done in "The Games Factory". (via using the "active object" process)
