its clear your art has changed, yet each period has aspects which make them good and bad, utilizing what’s good about each set, I believe, is the way forward.
Oldest: I can see you didn’t know much in the way of spriting certain body shapes, but you showed imagination, trying to experiment with new ideas, which is never a bad thing.
Middle: you hare staring to improve on your understanding of character design, and have moved onto thinking of which style is best, also there is a clear enthuses on outlines.
Newest: you’ve srted out the problem of character designs completely, and seem to have found a style you like, though the imagination and experimentation that made the others special seems to have gone.
So yeah, just try n’ combine the best aspects together to improve any more SP, but well done, and I hope ive helped ^^

Creator of the biggest topic in MFGG history! A tip about drawing Mats beak: the beak itself isn’t too prominent, its basically drawn as a Sonic muzzle with a small bump for the point

| QUOTE (SonicProject @ Apr 26 2005, 05:05 PM) | | I'm sure I could animate them if I learned how to do so properly and if I had the patience. |
It takes time to learn, for sure. Basically, remember that every pixel is special and every pixel should be moved. Also, take into account the speed of the animation, and whether it's worth it to animate small movement details or just blurslash the whole thing.
You have, indeed, improved. I notice a lot of early spriters do shading in a sort of... well, a bevel way. Like, one line of lighter shade a pixel wide, one dark shade on the other side, and the rest a solid middle color. Yuck unless used correctly. You've moved beyone that, and seem to have more fluidity in your lines.
...
Now I want to make one of these topics.
