I'll upload the dolphin song somewhere or other later, so anyone who wants it can get it. I recommend buying the soundtrack if you like that, the soundtrack also includes a 'Vote Beeblebrox' campaign song and a techno song about marvin that's hilarious.

Just got back from watching it.
It was pretty good. However for some reason it wasn't as great as I expected from all this chit-chat. I'd give it about a 7/10. Now was this just one of his books or a few combined?



BTW, Disney's Chicken Little had the exact same trailer.
Earth blowing up then the words "Don't Panic." on the screen.
What's up with that?

I thought it was clever.

They left out the part about how the two alien races went to war for centuries before they realized that the "insult" came from earth. >:(

I saw this today. Pretty good.

Read this if you've seen the movie. Talks about all the stuff they changed and why it was a bad idea, I find myself agreeing with a lot of what this guy says. (warning: spoils the entire movie and is a very long and negative [though informative] review)

I'm reading it, and while it does make several good points, I feel some of it is just too nitpicky. Case in point:

But Bill Bailey’s version - and he does a good job, to be fair - adds a coda: “Hello, ground.” Why? Why stick in an unnecessary extra couple of words to a monologue that Douglas honed to perfection? Do they make the monologue funnier? No sir, they do not. In fact they make it what we in the trade call ‘not quite as funny’.

I fail to see how adding "Hello, ground" in any way ruins that scene.

Same with the bit about Deep Thought watching cartoons, I thought it was hilarious.

As Douglas Adams once said himself, "A movie is not a book".
