You mean the running sprites of sonic in the second row of that spritesheet I linked isn't the same as the running sprites of the Marios in MatGames's spritesheet? I beg to differ.

Yeah, he did copy/paste the shoes for the running animation.

I compared them in pixels. They're EXACTLY the same, and EXACTLY the same colors.

Well... at least most of it is hand-drawn by himself. Looks pretty good actually.

Yeah, I agree, they do look nice, but I kinda feel like I'm just complimenting any old Paper Mario sprites or edits. They are, basically, re-drawn Paper Mario sprites (with the exception of the sonic running shoes). They're not original, really, and I really don't like the fact that he lied about copying the sonic shoes, so they're not anything special, or nearly as original as he made them out to be.


EDIT: And he's lurking around the board but doesn't reply. Licking his wounds perhaps? The least he can say is "I'm Sorry" or maybe back himself up. The suspense is KILLING me. It's a cliffhanger.

1: I was lurking around the board as I was PMing PK and Shadowman in a separate window, so I was not "licking my wounds"

2: I am not lying on the sonic shoes thing, I DID hand draw them and all the rest of the sheet for that matter I just closely followed pictures of the real sprites but tryed to make them more original, If I was going to just copy and paste them that would be completely against what I was going to do in the first place

3: Razor is entitled to say what he wants without you commenting on what he has said, I admit 10/10 is a bit too high but it is his opinion and razor is a much nicer guy than you anyway

4: as I mentioned before YOU ARE NOT A ADMIN! so stop acting like one (no offence to the admins though as I think shadowman and kritter are two of the nicest guys on this site)

5: you couldn’t do a better job as I did on these sprites even if you tryed your best, so get over the jealousy and leave me and many others alone, and if we want your opinion we will ask for it!

I thought all your comments were around fair except this one. This is just asking for trouble. Hell if I'm jealous of sprites that look just like Paper Mario sprites. Original sprites made completely from scratch without trying to make them look just like already-made sprites are worthy of being jealous of, not this garbage. Why should I leave you alone? People here have already found evidence that you copied the running sprites WITHOUT my help. I was just backing up the arguement. And you DID ask for my opinion--when you posted the damn topic. If you post spritesheets on a public board and you don't want someone's opinion, then you don't post it in the first place. Have some goddamn common sense. If you can't take criticism then I don't see the point of showing off the spritesheet in the first place. The end.

Guess what? Opinions can be mean, too. And I've yet to be proven that what I've thought about your sonic-shoe-running sprites are untrue. But this whole arguement will just keep going around in a circle, but I've already read what I wanted to read a while ago; When you said you didn't copy anything from anything else, and then later said you did copy (not literally copy and paste, but tried to redraw) the sonic shoes. I think I'm done, because like I said, this'll just go around in circles.
