This was certainly not Adam Sandler's best movie. Some of the jokes were funny, but most were overused jokes we've all heard at one time or another. The actual football scenes were some amazing stunts and the slow motion is amazingly smooth. This wasn't as great as I expected but if you like Adam Sandler and Chris Rock maybe you should see it. i didn't go see it. I just can't bother with sandler anymore. His last good movie was waterboy, and even then, people retelling the jokes over and over again ruined it a little. Happy Gilmore, Billy madison, etc. those ones are awesome.

While you were busy making length jokes, the rest of us were enjoying one of the finest films Hollywood had to offer this year. While this new, straightforward redo of "The Longest Yard" doesn't quite stand as proudly as the 1974 version did, Adam Sandler and his cronies have turned this modest football tale into a larger sensory experience. They have made the film into something the original film could never be accused of being: hilariously, recklessly, and undeniably entertaining. 9/10. -------------------- Munch on this!
