Name Changes

Name changes will now be logged.

Now for what actually concerns YOU. From now on, you won't be able to change your name until 90 days have passed from your last name change. These are the current people who are logged including date:

Yoshiguy -> Admiral Delmore (5/30/05)
triforce_power -> Tri (5/30/05)
Darkz -> Hikari Horaki Freak (6/1/05)

You guys are stuck with these names until 90 days have passed, sorry.

This change is an attempt to get rid of the confusion that comes with name changes. Such as awarding badges for competitions or maybe someone needs to PM someone but doesn't know what they changed their name to.

Hope this cuts down on some of the unnecessary name changes.

I think it's an ok idea though, but where will you keep the name change logs?

Wait, are you going to be putting the list of name changes up there or somethin? Or are you people planning on hiding them from the public?

The log will be kept in the Mod forum. I was just letting those three know that they are logged.

Currently it's hidden away in the mod forum, but it might be a service to make it public.

Well it would be a service, because when someone changed their name, ussually there's no indication of who it is, so it would be good to have the list up there for everyone.

Btw, there's more names that should be on that list. Ryo, Rage, Klobber and Cammi all have different names right now.

I'm happy with my name change. I suspect that the "master" in my former name had created a subconscious dislike for me with some people. And cockatiels are much more lovable than yoshies.

The creepy thing is that in a small fragment of my dream last night, I couldn't tell two member's names apart because they were so long-winded.

I didn't even know you were Yoshimaster. See, this is why the new log will be good.

The log only contains changes starting from a few days ago, when we decided on the restriction. Which means anyone not currently on that list still has an oppurtunity to change their names, preferably wisely.
