I think that, perspectively, the feet in all of your sprites (save the first one) need to be moved... back... abit. Unless they're leaning on a wall, the size of the feet and the way the legs are positions seem to show that they are about to topple over. This might also be corrected by making the shoes smaller, but I'd prefer the shoes just be moved back... or, north west in the case of the diagonally facing one.
Other then that, I LOVE how true the faces are to the styles they represent.
EDIT: Now that I think about it... the SMB3 one looks fine, and the M&L one looks like it's leaning foreward.
