I think I was in middle school when I read it, I just bought the book though.

They also didn't like gravity, made it hard for them to move. Poor Martians. sad.gif

Since I pretty much didn't read any of this topic, I don't know who dissed the Coneheads or what mental disorder caused them to do it, but I support this man's statement. nod.gif

The Coneheads suck.

This movie, however, did not. It was good. Good and great.

I have not yet seen this, and I probably won't.
We never rent, buy or go see movies.

My mom seems a tad interested in it, though.

It seems to be getting some mediocre reviews.

Of course, since critics gave the first Terminator a bad review, they know nothing.

Well it got some really good reviews too.

Reviews, ultimately, mean nothing. I prefer seeing movies and playing games for myself.

Amen to that, klobbs! After almost being led into thinking Grabbed by the Ghoulies and Conker Live and Reloaded sucked from all the reviewer complaints and anti-xbox communists, I've learned to say "asses to them" and get into em anyway. Likewise, certain other games have the reviews of a god and i didn't enjoy them. ^^

It can happen to anyone, though in this day and age. you cant even trust anyone or anything anymore when it comes to opinions. :\

Steven Spielberg is a genius. I can say this with no second thoughts. You know how in good movies you always have to pee afterwards? Never have I ever had to pee more during a movie. Anyway this movie actually scared me, I'll be honest it really did scare me but the story did this in a way that I couldn't leave. I HAD to see what happened.
I've never read the book or listened to the radio program but H.G. Wells is also a great writer. The action and comedy was mixed perfectly. Tom Cruise was great but Dakota Fanning was even better. The story hardly got boring and the aliens were great. Spielberg is not new to Special Effects, that much is clear. Nice Spongebob cameo also. biggrin.gif

This movie rocked. It rocked hard. Better then Star Wars. Better then Batman.

Go see it. Go see it now.

EDIT - 10/10 BTW.

On a side note, I saw the scene where Cruise comes out of his wife's house and the airplane had crashed at Universal Studios. It was pretty awesome.

I also got sick at some parts...

Ive never been this emotional before in a movie.

I saw WotW today.

omg awesome.

Damned intense, although the ending... meh not that great.
But the rest of the movie was awesome.
Did anyone else REALLY want the son to die? Tom Cruise wasn't annoying to me in this movie, but damnit, the character's son was really annoying. I was disapointed when he didn't die sad.gif

Oh yeah, and Dakota Fanning was awesome.

Not really too scary. Everyone said it was OMG scary, but it wasn't really that scary. Just a lil' suspensful. Also, this is one of those movies where you just want to yell at the characters for doing something so effing STUPID throughout the whole movie. So many times during the movie I wanted to yell at the character for doing something that just put them in MORE harm.

1/10...BTW.

t was too much like a TV movie. for instance, there are 10 people suspended in a cage under the alien machine. The mechanical arm grabs Tom Cruise, and the others are able to overpower it and save him. h

That's just one of many ridiculous scenes.
