For HP, Cammi and I decided to do this thing where she'd create a Naval-fied version of her character, and I'd create a Kamek-fied version (this stemmed from where we'd play Tetris Attack every weekend, I would ALWAYS be Kamek and she'd always be Naval).

Anyway, I sort of ended up...taking...a "few" creative liberties... ohmy.gif

Ear ring thing, since he has no ears...it just sort of gets impaled into his head.

Klobber, do you color on the computer or do you use marker?

He does both, that looks like his marker work.

Nice work, as usual. You never fail to impress me =)

RII's right, I do both, this happens to be marker work.

Sometimes I also like to do a combination, drawing the picture mostly with marker and then touching it up a bit with the computer. You can get some really cool lighting effects that way.

Anyway, the type of markers I used are Prismacolors, if you wondered. I also use Prismacolor pencils. They're REALLY cool, can't say enough good things about them. I can get about six different shades of a color from a single marker if I try hard enough. Similar to how you can darken pencil lines to shade with a pencil, you can do the same thing with Prismas; the more you go over an area with a particular color, the darker it'll get.

Anyway, I'd recommend them, especially for you, FanGuy, since I think they'd suit your style quite well. Cammiluna uses Prismas a lot, I learned from her.

Prisma markers are awesome, but damned expensive.

Yeah. I get the 24 pack, which will run you at least 40-something dollars. If you like to color with markers though, there's none better (that I've found). You just can't do the same sort of stuff with Crayola etc.

Did you get that hood idea from me or is it just coincidental?

*looks*

..holy hell, you're right, the shape is similar. It's just coincidental, I really wasn't trying to draw it anything like your hood, but now I see that the shape IS similar.

It was unintentional, my drawing style seems to suck up anything around it. My eyes have just become accustomed to overanalyzing artwork and I pick up little things.

Sorry about that.

I know what's that like. I have this character I still draw named Yang (I REFUSE to change his design), years and years and years after I designed him, I find a book with a character that looked so similar it wasn't even funny. Same purple wings, same color, same horns, and Yang has a long neck with no eyes, this character had the exact same thing. Bloody creepy I tell you, if I didn't know better I'd say the author of the book had somehow found my character and ripped it off, but that's ridiculous of course.

Klobber, you're now a female Black Mage? That's, erm, interesting.

As usual, it's an incredible drawing. *whispers something else to draw to Klobber*

What makes you think it's female?

Thick eye border. The winking eye gives the effect of eye-shadow and flirtation.

EDIT: Yes I know he normally has an eyepatch >.>

It has the "white mage" red marks on the sleeves, and white mages are usually considered to be female (sexists).

Anyway, here's the culprit, and I swear I created this guy before the character Marill had ever been announced. It's not fair, I tell you. I made a bunch of these little baby dragons, with different colors like orange, purple, green etc., but the blue (original) one always looked the best to me.
