Is Fox's dad really alive?

He's a zombie.

Erm, yep. There's a lot of cameos in F-Zero GX. James McCloud is based off of Fox's dad and Mr. EAD is actually based off of Super Mario, and EAD stands for one of the Nintendo Development Departments. There's a lot more too.

This was an idea that would logically be explored in a sequel to SF64. Instead, we got a couple of lackluster titles including a cameo in Assault that makes no sense no matter which way you look at it.

What I think is that Fox's dad IS dead but that doesn't anwser why the aparoid queen had his data well...remember there were 3 people who were taken over by the aparoids.

Spoilers:

General Pepper (during the corneria boss fight) Pigma (A bit obvious...) Peppy (while he's crashing the great fox look at his arms They all knew him in someway, Pigma and Peppy were his old teammates with Pigma betraying him. General Pepper of course gave out missions so he also maybe gave James his missions. Now while they had the aparoid cell's combined with their dna at the time and this is assuming the queen and the aparoids minds are all linked to eachother the aparoids possessing all 3 of them could have sent each of those 3 memories to the queen, who used it to make all 4 of their images. But during the fight ROB also talks...but the aparoids can take over machines as well and ROB is a machine so his data could have been sent as well or by peppy's memory. Now because Peppy look's all fine and dandy at the end. As soon as the queen and planet were destroyed all the the aparoid cell's most likely have been destroyed.

You know, since the aparoids are psychic you could just simply and logically say that they're reading Fox's mind and are trying to turn it against him, which is what everyone's saying: "Don't believe in it!" "Don't listen to them!" "Stay focused, Fox!".

I thought they could just fly around, shoot lasers at people going BOOM BOOM BOOM I MAKE U EXPLODEZ, explode, ram into eachother and die, and manifest themselves into other organisms bodies (dear god that sounded wrong).

...Right let's all just say that until there is a good reason they all just fell into a plot hole and died.

Yes. I believe it said that in the instruction manual AND in the game itself. They have strong psychic senses and their attacks are telekinetic.

Uh..nothing in the manual (unless krystal is an aparoid) but on the box it says.

The aparoids, creatures bent on assimilating all beast and machines into their corrupted hive mind.

which sounds like they're trying to absorb things...

and in the game the only thing I can think of is krystal reading the aparoid from stage 1's mind and going "Such strange thought patterns" but krystal is the one reading the minds and sensing things.(ZOMG LIEK KRYSTAL IS LEIK AN APAROID!11!1SHIFTELEVEN!!1 *shot*)

The weird thought patterns would be the rebelling psychic power. I read somewhere that said directly "the Aparoids are psychic" and I also read that they use telekinetic power to attack. I don't remember where. I thought it was somewhere in the game.

Actually, both Fox, and James are fictional characters that have appeared in video games.
