No. Microsoft isn't competing with Nintendo in the handheld market, so Rare has free reign to stretch their legs there via another publisher (THQ i think). Home system-wise, Rare are still Xbox-limited.

And come ON, Rare DS is possibly the worst kept secret EVER.

Nope. The DS and PSP are the only handheld consoles, so they can develop for them. Hell, Microsoft announced they're considering making a DS title.

But please refer to Rare's post-Nintendo line-up for all the anticipation you could ever need when looking to Rare's DS releases: Grabbed by the Ghoulies - TERRIBLE Conker Live and Reloaded - Port of an average title, plus bland multiplayer. But hey; it's pretty! Not terribly excited about "Banjo" sequels, considering more and more of the Rare team you came to know and love has left at one point in time or another. Timesplitters was made by Free Radical, which has a few key Goldeneye heads over there... and it is undoubtable that in the transition to working under Microsoft, new cuts were not made. Also though, to be fair, it should be noted that new employees are being sought for this DS development, so at least that is indicative of how much things are changing, even at a studio as large as Rare. --------------------
