| QUOTE (Mario Gamer @ Jul 15 2005, 07:19 PM) | | So today it started pouring and my mom called me to tell me a very, very big storm was coming my way. I don't know why but I love rain so I walked outside to just stand in it. Realizing I locked myself out I ran around back when putting in the key code to our gate a HUGE lightning strike scared me out of my wits. But luckily I got the code to the gate and got back inside my house. So I had nothing else to do and expected the power to go out soon so I turned on the TV to watch as much as I could. I also opened (As in pulled the blinds up) a window next to my sofa. Now this is a window that's as tall as the wall so you can see a lot out of it which was my driveway and my gate. We live on a corner lot of a block and there is a telephone pole right at the end of the alley (which I could also see out the window) Anyway I was watching CSI when the whole room went white for a second before a HUGE bang shook the house and I looked out the window and sparks were just pouring out of this telephone pole. This is the closest I've been to seeing a lightning strike. (The pole was about 30 ft away from the window) |
Gotta keep you on your toes, you know. ;P
