MFGG Expo 2006

Sadly enough, I have no faith in this topic. :p Mainly because the only successful fan gaming expo I've ever seen is SAGE. I mean so many people have tried to make an MFGG one...heeheehee, me and I haven't seen any success. Like, if it works out, great but participation is usually a big factor in whether or not it will be successful.

I think an MFGG Expo would be fun. If there are enough entries that is. A chance to see the entire list of upcoming games. And if you're bored you can take a bet which one get canned.


Ok that was mean of me.

One worked PRETTY well last year, but was rushed, but it DID have it's own website. If we can spend a bit more time on it, and not set a due date SO FLIPPIN' CLOSE, it might work.

Next MAGE should be August of next year. Just before school starts again for most. That should be plenty of time.

If you call it MAGE SFGHQ might hunt you down. :p If I recall correctly, aren't they all snippy if someone does an expo like theirs? Then again, I haven't seen SFGHQ in a long time is SAGE even still up?

SAGE X closed a week (or 2?) ago. It was somesort of a succes. 'xept the shutdowns because of the damn host.

What about NFGE? Nintend Fan Game Expo. That way, you can add every game that contains a Nintendo character. The amount of entries might increase this way. Anyway, I'll sign up if the deathline ain't close.

It's not a bad idea, but since it's so close to SAGE and various others like it, perhaps it should be left a month or two.

You could always consider having it in the Winter.

True, like last year. We would still have enough time to pull things together. Or possibly, if things don't look to organized by then, we could delay it to spring break, and so on.

Winter would actually work perfectly for me.

Winter break + summer are really the only good times. As most of the members here have school the rest of the time.

Not that you lazy assholes get any work done >:(

But first there must be enough interest, ofcourse. Like SAGE, people couldn't wait until it opened. Well maybe those who had a booth could've :P

Would be a waste of time when the expo only contains like... 5 entries. Unlike SAGE (again XD) which had around 40.
