Near the end of every Nintendo console's lifespan, there's a rare gem that stands out in the crowd, that most people pass on by, with all the next0gen hub-bub. This gen, it is close Nintendo oartner, Skip's, Chibi Robo.
The star of this game is, believe it or not, a small robot. You are one of many small robots, actually. You are a present that the Man of the house bought for his family, to do every little whim for him. This (of course) picking up trah from the ground, and disposing of it, helping the monster in the closet preform many bizzare chores, and last but not least removing dog crap off the ground with a tooth brush. Before I go into a more detailed explination of this very strange game, let me tell you the basic story.
A family in rural Japan, are fed up with each other. So what does the husband do for his beloved wife? He goes out to the store to purcahse a lovely electronic robot, one of the "Chibi Robo" series. The Robot is capable of performing any command, and is self customizable, by picking up various whooz-its, and whats-its around the house. You start out as not very respectible, from the family, but over time, the family learns to love. Of course, in order to get to that point in time, you must preform variious tasks for everybody in the entire family. Of course, respect isn't the only thing you can "pick up". There's some loose change around the house as well, that Chibi Robo can pick up and use.
Overall this game is wonderful, humerous, and enjoyable. It went from a point-and-click adventure game at E3-2003, to a full fledged platformer. The game is expected to release in the US, in fall, and everywhere else this year as well.
Any questions?
