Drawing Comp: **NOW TOP 5 VOTING**, SCARED POTTER!?

HOORAY to Martyman for coming in second. And Jas who was RIGHT BEHIND him.

Well I had a bit of trouble deciding what to do for this drawing comp. The new Harry Potter book and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory came out on the same day, and I thought it'd be appropriate to do a comp based on one of those. It was hard to decide, but in the end I'm going to go with a Potter based comp. Whoever wins this can make a Charlie based competition if they want to - both a Potter and Charlie themed comp have lots of opportunities for really cool stuff.

SO. Your task this time is to Potterfy the Mushroom Kingdom. Take characters from Mario games and have them cosplay as Harry Potter characters, or draw them in scenes from the book, or what have you. You might want something to do with Magikoopas, since they're witches and wizards and would fit right in the HP universe. Be creative! Turn Wart into a Chocolate Frog or something!

Now, one thing. There are several people here who are still reading the sixth book, myself included. So, please don't have your drawings contain spoilers for the book. If you draw a picture of Toad cosplaying the character who dies getting killed I swear I'll shove soveryhappy so far up your...but I digress.

I'm drawing Luigi as Ron, dying. Because he dies in the sixth book, it's true, and then Snape reveils he is a woman.

Theres something I've been wondering about these drawing comps.... Would a pixel art entry be accepted? I would think it would, considering it falls under the category of Art (and Drawing also, depending on how you interpret the word). But i just wanted to check before i got too far into this ;_;

You know, pixel art ISN'T allowed in sprite comps, so...it seems to me that it should be perfectly acceptable.

I have been waiting for this comp, I'm a Harry Potter fan -- I finished the 6th book the day it came out, and its my fave...
