Resurrection of Evil for the PC is an expansion pack that shipped in early April 2005 for $34.99. The pack comprises about 12-15 hours of gameplay based on a handful of new single-player levels, in which players take on the role of a military man who visits the troubled base in which all hell broke loose in DOOM 3. We've heard an Xbox version is coming this fall for roughly the same price.

Activision wouldn't comment on the subject. "We cannot confirm that," an Activision spokesperson told IGN today over the phone. "Our officially word is this -- stay tuned." Given the upcoming QuakeCon event in Texas next week, however, we might learn the official word sooner than later.

I don't think he said that. Interviews are transferred into text in this case. It was probably a typo on IGN's part.
