That's right, 3D technology for the masses.

http://www.blender.org

Blender was apparently a program previously used by Neo-Geo for their games, and has since become and open-source application. A tool like this could be very usefull in the fan game community, so download it, try it out, and spread the word. It's available for damn near every OS.

I downloaded this thing without the faintest idea how to use it. Would somebody mind directiong us how to:

Make a model for use in it
Animate it
Make a level
And finally, how to make our model run and jump around in it?

Well, my friend said that a program called Wings 3D is easier. MUCH easier. So, here's the link, and I recomend changing it in your sig tech wolf.

http://www.wings3d.com/

It's available for Windows and MAC (Windows requires OpenGL), and it might be for other OS's.

I've used blender a LONG time ago. The instructions barely help.
Modeling is easy. Making things move is something i couldn't figure out.

I'm willing to try. If I have pretty much good knowledge in DarkBASIC, perhaps I could have a tiny bit more knowledge than others in this program.

... once Mario Spy's official demo is out.

Is it really open source? I know it has a Linux port... also, is there a crystal-style icon I can use that fits with the theme in my sig?
I don't take orders from people who use unpronouncable characters in their names, whether it can be typed differently in a pronounceable way or not. :O

Well, if I can find a mod, I'll have my name changed to "infinite?" Until I see one, that's what you can call me, ok?

No, it's "Infinity?" asked as a question, with an echo.

EDIT: imho

He claims his name resembles infinite questions

"With an echo." Now someone around here is thinking. Someone finally goes to the next step. And yes, it does represent "infinite questions". I don't know what you mean by "he claims". As if there's a conspiracy behind it, and means something totally diffrent.... ohmy.gif

Anyhow, I'll research wings 3d a little bit for you TechWolf to see if it's open source, and make a crystal icon for you.
