Cause they like to torture us.

I don't really care if they show it or not. All I wanna know is how much it'll be, how big the console'll be and what the GAMES'LL be..
I could care less about the controller or what the console looks like.

Hope it's like the Gamecube. Small and easy to carry.

The controller has not been revealed, it will be revealed by the end of the year, there is no information concerning it online that is accurate, and most NOA employees haven't even seen it.

All we know is they don't want the idea stolen, that it is easy to emulate. Other than that most things are shaky they have said that it would not have a touch screen, then months later Iwata said "well hey it could happen"; but it's safe to assume it does not. Also, they have said this controller will attract people that do not play games, and it will excite those that do. (vague as hell but accurate)

Keatongirl to answer some of your questions: the final size of Revolution will be 3 DVD cases stacked onto one another, so it's smaller than the Gamecube in volume. It will take both GCN and Revolution discs, and it will have a downloadable service online where for a small fee you can download a ton of old Nintendo games including Super Mario 64, Super Metroid, Wave Race 64, A Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time, Final Fantasy IV, the original SMB.... those are the only few confirmed ones I can remember off hand. Also it will have free online Wi-Fi play and the following titles are confirmed:

Super Smash Bros (will be online)
Mario
Zelda
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles
Metroid Prime 3

I belive they are not showing it because it revelutionizes the gaming industry. Like after Nintendo put analog sticks on their N64 controller. Playstation got analog sticks too. So maybe they are trying to hide it so once it's reveiled, Sony and microsoft will be too far into completing their console that it will they will have to delay the release date. If nintendo's controler is so unique it will take a while for Microsoft and Sony will have to do a whole lot of work. Then Nintendo can release their console before the others and get a lot of people to buy their console.

Either that or they don't have a idea. However if you read igns article on Metroid Prime 3, it says Metroid Prime 3 will use the new thing on nintendos controller. So Nintendo must have a basic idea of what the controller is like.

They're not showing it to generate hype at this point.

Okay, this is a really awesome mock-up.

If it's actually anything like that it'd be cool. XD

That would be cool without the magnetic crap.

Nintendo should do one of those viral advertising/ alternate reality game website thingies, like that Xbox 360 one. And gradually show off small smidgets of the controller and stupidly cropped screenshots. That's a nice and cheap way to generate hype :]

Well, if the controller is going to play all of Nintendo's old games, I'm thinking it would have the features of the Super Scope and Light Gun as well as a controller easy enough to hold to play the other games.

Like I said before:

ONE CLUE: Revolution Dev kits use a modified version of the GCN controller.

Well I did read an article that not all gmaes will be playable on the Revelution. So Yoshis safari and others using the super scope won't be playable. However Donkey Konga would beacause you can use the controller.
