I'm pretty sure you could easily make an engine that's like SME2. After all, it is a lot simpler than MarioPN's. Obviously it would probably not have the same effect as the SME series, but you could make a decent Mario clone with a little bit of work.

Wow, a QUAD poster.

I don't think you're listening to us, so I'm gonna say it again in big letters.
It is very rare for someone to release his/her game engine to the public for anyone to use. This is because it takes a lot of hard work to make a game engine and people might not want to see any random person take the game engine to use in a fangame and not get any recognition for their work, or that they just want to keep it to themselves since it is their pride and joy. Please look at all the tutorials on MFGG's main site to learn how to make an engine as good as Jeff and Anther.
