I love how none of the parents thought it was "offensive" when the game involves shooting people and stealing their car and money, just so you can buy stronger weapons and get kill even more people.

I think it depends on how Mature you really are, thus it depends on the childs maturity.

Yeah. Which is exactly why it should be up to the parents. If a kid is immature enough to not be able to handle an M rated game, do you think he or she will be mature enough to know not to purchase one?

EDIT: I will, however, say this: I don't think there should be laws prohibiting stores from selling M rated games to minors.

PEGI + BBFC = UK's game rating thingies is best ever. (warning - the BBFC site has NAUGHTY WORDS, including the NAUGHTIEST WORD!!) MPAA, though I don't have the address. They have a very similar rating scale.
