either way I still don't approve of wavedashing, the L cancel occurs so rarely and has such a minimal effect I really don't care

L cancel's more dangerous with short hop air attacks, since you can't really immediately counter attack the person no more, and wavedashing is so impossibly hard to do >.<.

But it's all good.

Well I experimented with it yesterday and it's actually not that hard to pull off once you get the hang of it.

1- Select Link and choose a stage with a platform that Link can hookshot onto easily(the Kirby fountain is a good choice due to it's size).
2 - Walk over to an edge and throw the boomerang towards the side of the screen you're closest to, but make sure you point it upwards(diagonally).
3- Quickly turn towards the stage and jump backwards(still facing the stage) hookshot onto the side of the platform. If you've done everything quickly and correctly, while you're hanging off the hookshot the boomerang will return to you and cause you to go insanely high in the air.

Also, do note that this is good technique if you want to scare your friends ****less.
