New Internet Explorer version, "Borrows" new features from Firefox

IE's been the cause of two major viral outbreaks on my computer. So I burnt the damn thing down.

So I guess aside from tabbed browsing and transparent PNGs, IE7 is still gay, right?

I still wouldn't use it, but at least if it supports Transparent PNG, I can seriously consider its applications in new designs.

Actually, it's bi. Don't worry about it though, common misconception.

Using IE I get spyware and adware all the time. Using Firefox I get a tracking cookie every now and then.

Using the proper anti-spyware, anti-adware and anti-virus programs, IE doesn't give me any sass. And it doesn't need any plugins to waste my time with. So, I use it all the time.

Having to scan every time I close my browser is just plain annoying for me.

Things like that is exactly why I use Maxthon browser now. I still want all the functions and features of IE, but none of the pain in the ass popups and computer anal rape.

Chances are your antivirus program's outdated.

For you at least. The other day I opened up IE for the first time in half a year, and my computer nearly crashed in the swarm of popups that appeared. It now runs half as fast as it should and, without even using it in a long time, it's been infected with spyware (and I did a scan beforehand too, nothing showed up).

No, see I have several of those programs. Spy Sweep, Anti-Virus, Internet Security. And yes, I get spy ware but nothing serious. o.O You make it sound horribly worse then it is.

Also, my computer is actually more newer and I've noticed a built in Pop-Up blocker for IE. So...maybe they've fixed that and some of you guys with older versions don't have that.

Mine has it too.

This is great news and all, but if one has already downloaded Firefox, why bother?

I still don't care, once my computer's fixed, I'm nuking IE ( Theres a free version of program that can do it, its called 98Lite ) off it and bringing in Firefox!
