As innovative as the game sounds, I've never liked having to labor myself over a virtual pet. The AI sounds amazing, but the whole concept of having a pet dog to train just isn't appealing. Kind of like levelling in an MMO. It just feels like you have to babysit a 300-pound gorilla. I also understand the comparisons he made between things like "dog learns new trick" and "Megaman boss dies", but the thing he left out in that comparison was the satisfaction and reward. For example, seeing the number 1 in Pong change to 2 isn't nearly as a rewarding and exciting experience to the player as seeing a giant nuclear explosion or something of the sort. The game sounds technically brilliant, but it just wouldn't hold my interest.
