I expect it to do fairly well because

1.) It's flashy
2.) There are many, many people who would buy anything Nintendo puts out
3.) People are naturally drawn to new stuff
4.) There's a lot of people who just don't care about old games so the lack of ability to play them won't matter

and

5.) Some people will buy it JUST because it has a brighter screen.

I think it'll sell pretty good.

I wish the Micro had GB compatiblilty, I lost my GBA SP a couple of moths ago...
I mean, most of the GBA games out there suck(Except some Nintendo published games)
Dont hate me, There are ather 3rd party published GBA that are good, but i'd rather buy old GB games, I would rather buy the Original Tetris than some new ripoff.
I just like going back in time replaying what I had as a child..

For example: a year ago i was about to go on a trip, I went to a
GAMES EXCHANGE(sells sold games like NES SNES GB etc. may not exist where u r from) and instead of a GBA game, I bought Pokemon Yellow( i am now 95% done with my pokedex)
UPDATE: I found my GBA SP! JOY!!! soveryhappy.gif
AND I JUST BEAT THE ELITE 4 in PKMN YELLOW!!! soveryhappy.gif

i dont care about the Micro anymore..

Well I think the answer is simple. Barring buying 2 handhelds, the older generation gamers that still like their old games will stick to the GBA/SP hardware, and newer generation gamers or those who don't own / don't care about the older games will be drawn to the Micro.

It's not like they've discontinued the SP or anything. Eventually support for older hardware will be discontinued for good in newer handhelds (I suspect anyway), but it would sort of be like yelling at your N64 for not playing your NES games.

Or possibly it will be something like being able to download old Gameboy software from a interent hub on your handheld.

I'd imagine that it wouldnt be possible to pack it into such a small space if they included all the circuitry to allow for playing standard gameboy games.
