These blocks are supposed to have a 'rubbery' feel, and look very shiny. Made from a sticky material.

user posted image
The Normal Blocks are simply everyday blocks which can hold items. When hit from below, they slightly flatten but return to their original shape. However, in the process the material hardens.

user posted image
The Stretchy blocks cannot contain items. Instead, when hit from below, or hit on the side with a koopa shell, they flatten to the ground and harden.

The blue blocks are rubbery and much more softer then other blocks in this series. This block can also conduct electricity very well. If hit from above or below, the force is propelled back twice as powerful. If it is hit too hard, the block will break into two pieces. You cannot bounce on these pieces, but they still conduct electricity.

Shock Blocks are made when Rubber Block pieces are being electrocuted. Will stay as a Shock Block as long as the block is being electrocuted.

It's not a new idea, though. Remember the Purple Egg Blocks in Yoshi's Island that got big when you hit 'em?

Quite shocking, isn't it?

Am I the only person that notices skulls in the normal/stretchy block animations?

Interesting blocks, though.

Am I the only one that realizes the physics NIGHTMARE going on with the rubber blocks?!
Rubber is an insulator. It doesn't conduct electricity!
That's why electricians wear rubber gloves when handling wires. It keeps them from being scorched.

In the world these things are from, Creatures fly around in clouds and dinosaurs can breath fire after eating a red shell.

Plus, these blocks aren't REALLY made of rubber, they're just called that.

I think the rubber blocks would be better suited for bouncing.

Nice blocks.

Nice blocks.

Well, that's what they do. When you ground pound them, they'll break into two smaller blocks which can be kicked around. Like, kicking one into a battery slot could open the door, since it's electric and all.
