Arctic Aardvark!

A bit of a story here: At least back in senior year of high school, I had tried to brainstorm ideas for new Maverick names, because I was sure that there were still loads out there that didn't sound stupid, like some of the ones they used in Mega Man X7. :P I came up with three names, some maybe better than others. One of the names I thought of was something that had that SNES Maverick ring to it: Arctic Aardvark. Good alliteration, and it wasn't something overly bizarre!

Cut to today. Msonic is working on a Mega Man fangame in the future. He just says he probably needs Mavericks in the game.

So you know what I did? I took my past creation, and popped the name to him, and it sounded great. So I expanded on the brief mental image that I had when I developed the name, and I gave him characteristics, and drew schematics on paper. And so, after thinking around about how to make him look awesome, paying attention to details, I finally created him: Arctic Aardvark! This is my best original character ever.

For this picture, I took the original sketches, (which I wouldn't really call scrap drawings, because I tried to detail them) and I put them into a cool system bios megaman-y presentation. And the background? I constructed it from flash, being inspired by a background image I found long ago online and saved onto my computer. It was the perfect setting for this.

PS: Megaman artists, you know who you are, I'd be happy happy if you were to help me try to make him look even better, matching the style. Fanarts of the guy would be cool, I want this character to be nifty.

Nice. The only problem is the hands, but i'm sure all the flaws will be fixed if it gets put into sprite form.
