First off, congratulations to Mario Gamer for placing second in the previous competition. Also, congratulations to everyone else who actually took some time out of their lives to enter that competition. A round of applause, people.
Moving on. Picture a Mushroom World, where coins would no longer fill the air. And as for question blocks... they'd contain nothing but mushrooms. Worthless mushrooms. You'd be lucky if you were to sell one of those things for even one measly coin in the
Mushroom World. So naturally, that would raise the question, how would Mario and friends earn a living?
The theme of this competition will be
jobs. That is to say, you are to depict
any Super Mario Bros. Character(s) performing daily, mundane tasks in order to earn a living. It could be any kind of everyday job - teachers, construction workers, salespeople, janitors, you name it. Take note that nearly every kind of job has a dress code - If Wario is an accountant, say, put him in a suit and tie. If Yoshi works at a Wal-Mart, put him in one of those blue vests with a name tag, and that read "how may I help you" on the back. You get the idea. You may have anyone from the Mario universe working for any kind of everyday business, be it an actual, real-life business, or a made-up, fictitious one. Use your imagination here.
And no, you cannot have Mario and Luigi working as plumbers. Not creative enough. ;P
Also, before entering this contest, please be sure to read the
DRAWING COMPETITION RULES.
This competition will end on
September 1st, at which point top-five voting will begin. On the 2nd, a poll will be held to determine the contest's winner. With that said, good luck, and get to work. Or you're all fired. Or something.
