The time: 11:00 PM.
The location: Outside a Hacienda restaurant

It was the big game! First football game of the season, and the marching band's first half-time show of the season. Clay High School (my school) creamed Adams High: 35 to 2. To celebrate the big win, almost the entire band went to Hacienda to celebrate. The food isn't too good, but it's a famous gathering spot for every event. I went there three times for band (not counting this time) and once for a Drama Club event.

Anyhow, when you get a Kid's Meal at Hacienda, you get a free frisbee. Lots of people get the Kid's Meal just for the frisbee. After we ate, we all went outside and played Frisbee. I missed every single catch, but made a few really good throws. It was Ian Crocker's turn to throw, and he threw towards Mike Ponder. Mike leaned back to catch it, and it flew past him.
Right into the window of a T.J. Maxx.
Hard enough to make the security systems think the window was broken.

Lights started flashing, and alarms went off. Really really loud alarms. Cars started pulling up to check it out. Everyone who was in Hacienda came outside to check out what was going on. Mike just stood there, looking really pissed off/embarassed.

If you were in this situation, what would you do? Probably what I did.
Made a break for it.

Just in time, my mom was coming to pick me up, so I hailed the car down and BOLTED for it. I got in, and we started driving off. As we were leaving, I saw cars from the police and Majestic Security arriving.

For some reason, I felt compelled to go back and see what was happening, so we did. The police apparently just shrugged the whole thing off. I'm pretty sure the alarms and lights are still going off.

This just in: a restaurant has been robbed by a gang of high school thugs. Their ringleader, name withheld, has last been seen assaulting civilians with a dangerous weapon believed to have been used to infiltrate the restaurant through a window.

The ringleader, known as the Frisbee Giant, is a blonde approximately seven feet tall with blue-grey eyes. He is easily distinguishable from his height and from his brother who constantly tails and chastises him for his crimes. The suspect is armed and dangerous; if you are assaulted by a frisbee or see a man of this description, call your local police department immediately.

Way to be supportive to your friend.

...

Actually, yeah, I would have done the same thing.

Well the reason I felt compelled to go back was because I had a bad feeling the police were gonna beat him down.

That must have been a terrible feeling at the time. First you have the "guilt" of being involved in a "crime," and then you have the more genuine guilt of leaving a friend behind.

All the emotional turmoil you may have been through aside, your grandchildren have something to laugh about.

EDIT: This post was by Mugenmidget, in case Press Start does not feel your grandchildren will benefit from your plight.

Today frisbees, tomorrow, nuclear weapons.

That's the way it always goes.
