One Piece character inspirations, Might contain spoilers

Those who read the translated Japanese version will know of these characters. I got these from another site.

NOTE: These are just speculation. But most of them are very clear.



-You might think that the reallife photo is a cosplay. But that's a Hugo Boss model. And that shot was taken before the character on top was created.


-Not much info. But they do look alike.


-You people might know this character. Klahadore was in the American One Piece. He was inspired by a Yu Yu Hakusho character, Sensui. And his cat claws came from Freddy Kruegar


-I forgot the name of the actress, but it's clear Luffy's 6th crewmate's haircut was inspired by this woman.


-The big afro dude (Gaimon) was seen in the anime numerous times.


-No info as of yet. But both have gay men dressed as Ballerinas. They have same hand gestures too

How could you forget Django/Michael Jackson? It's the most obvious one! XD

I was going to put that. There's a lot more.

-No good picture of an on-stage Michael Jackson, but notice how Jango has pale skin, gloves, hat, long hair. In the manga, you'll notice he does a bunch of famous Michael Jackson moves.



-An uncanny resemblence between Ace Ventura and Luffy's next pending crewmember. Franky can be seen in the banner on the very right.


-No info yet. I don't even know these two. But they do look alike.

In the Baratie Storyline (With Sanji, Zeff, Patty, etc)there's few character inspired by Reservoir Dogs.



-Mr Orange looks a lot like Fullbody

Sanji wasn't inspired by a particular character...but he does have the Resorvoir Dogs feel.

I'm too lazy to post this pic, but Patty Cook is obviously inspired by Popeye the Sailor Man.

I heard Oda was a fan of the Little Mermaid.



Oda liked baroque literature...hell there's a pirate crew in One Piece called Baroque Works.

Okay, is he even in the anime yet? If not, I'd say that's a completely unneccesary spoiler.

I think he just got introduced in the anime.

Yes that's Usopp.

He kinda looks like the sun god guy from MLSS now. XD

The anime isn't that far into anything.

The manga kicks the anime's ass anyday.

It did, but I don't think it's unreasonable to expect the spoilers to be restricted the latest anime episode, which it was apparently. I was just making sure.
