Good luck finding somebody outside the gaming industry. No politician will take the pro-game side, because they'd lose conservative AND liberal support.

Conservatives love the anti-game movement because it ostensibly legitimizes their claims that the current youth of America is out of control and must be restrained (note that I said "ostensibly," anybody who does even an ounce of real research will find that youth violence is down. Of course, who wants to do real research when you can just make irrational and sweeping generalizations?)

Liberals love the anti-game movement because it allows them to take the blame off of inattentive parents and place it on a corporation.

Well, the solution is simple.


DESTROY ALL PARENTS

You know what we need? A law that bans this guy from threats.

The thing is, I don't think he really makes threats when he's crusading against videogames in public. Those are seemingly reserved for email.

I'm sure people would take him a lot less seriously if they knew he responds to inquiries with "nope" and routinely insults people. But of course, we're gamers. To people who follow this idiot, we're the bad guys, and so they'll probably think him calling us brain dead is justified. Never mind the fact that the videogame industry requires a lot of intelligence/creativity to get into.

Or the fact that video games nowadays are ridiculously complex, especially when compared to those played by the past generation or two (i.e., the people crusading against "mindless" video games).

I hope.

Tetris is a horrible game that encourages children to drop bricks off a roof to unsuspecting passerby's. This is extremely dangerous and will NOT be tolerated. Justice must be pursued. Tetris must be banned.


Paperboy encourages teenagers on their bike routes to "challenge death" (whack the grim reaper with a newspaper) and to ruthlessly smash windows and abuse small puppies.


Pacman teaches children to eat pills they find on the ground. The ghosts represent hallucinations caused by this "pill" intake.



Super Mario brainwashes our youth into stomping on turtles, eating drugs and that lava is good.

I can't even see examples from life that even remotely support that videogames make people violent. At most a conversation piece -_- (Hell, wrestling is more imitatable.)

It does no good for people to let his 'work' proliferate, shut up about him; he isn't important and only gets attention because he's one of a kind. There are people who really think video games are pure evil; but you only need to look at the mainstream nature of this evolving industry to realize that games aren't going to be altered anytime soon; they're far too profitable, they will be left alone
